December 2020 Giveaway: Holiday Fever Board Game
We have a very exciting Christmas giveaway to share with you this year. The creators of Holiday Fever the board game have generously provided 5 copies of their terrific Christmas game for us to pass along to several of you! We played Holiday Fever for the first time last Christmas Eve, and - just like the tagline says - we definitely plan on making it a family tradition.
Holiday Fever is a game based on that crazy balance we all walk between shopping and decorating and maintaining the true Christmas spirit. A big part of the game is decorating your Christmas tree and trying to accumulate the most valuable gifts - but my personal favorite part of the game is the inclusion of Christmas spirit speeches.
I absolutely love this game mechanic. Sometimes you’re singing Christmas songs together while sometimes you’re talking about what you’re thankful for or what you’re looking forward to in the New Year. It’s very special to have those built-in moments of sincerity with the little ones, and it goes a very long way towards making us want to turn Holiday Fever into a yearly tradition.
The game is recommended for ages 8+, but we let our 3-year-old play by herself last Christmas Eve with lots of help making decisions from us. And she completely beat us all in our inaugural game. I’m excited to share copies with several of you this year, and I hope it makes for a special Christmas family game night.
