February Giveaway: Qwixx

We recently added the dice game Qwixx to our family game collection, and we immediately thought it would be a great game to share with our readers. It’s a terrific family game for almost all ages. Our 7-year-old loved it immediately. In fact, he won by quite a bit the very first time we played.
Qwixx has a good amount of both luck and strategy which is a always good for playing with kids. I also really like that it has elements of pressing your luck to consider, because you often have to decide to take points now or wait for something better later.
The luck of the dice roll really levels the playing field, but the strategy involved in which numbers to cross out on your scoresheet keeps it very interesting for everybody. And don’t tell the kids, but it’s a great gameschool game for practicing basic math.
All you need to play the game are the dice it comes with, the scorecards, and something for everyone to write with. Since it’s a small game, it’s great for traveling too. Gamewright is one of our favorite companies for family games and we’re excited to share this one with one of you!
