August Giveaway: The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds

It’s almost back-to-school time - so we’re going to share a special book called The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds with one of our subscribers. It’s an absolutely perfect book to introduce to children (and teachers) before school begins. If you haven’t read it yet, I strongly encourage you to check it out from your local library and read it with your kids (assuming you don’t win a free copy of course!).
In the book, a young girl named Vashti refuses to do anything in art class because she’s simply convinced she’s terrible at art. Parents and teachers everywhere can relate with witnessing this depressing attitude manifesting itself in our kids - and something must be done about it.
Luckily, Vashti’s teacher changes her life by encouraging her to start with a single dot on the paper - and just see where it takes her. It’s a heartwarming story full of many important life lessons. In fact, it made our list of the best picture books with life lessons - and I’m excited to share it with one of you this month!
